Sublimer la coquille d’œufs
I love to subvert the function or place of origin of a material to elevate it to another level and play on the effects this produces. For a vibrant and organic finish, I cut the eggshells in pieces and make use of its natural round form. I think black is ideal for highlighting the animal skin or plant effects that I’m aiming for. Colored or gold cast glass adds a touch of refinement.
The inspiration for this eggshell work is rankaku, a traditional Asian technique that I discovered during a trip to Thailand.

Grenade et Berling’Art
En explorant les courbes naturelles de la coquille d’œuf et les matières telles que le marbre, la terre cuite ou la pâte de verre, je crée des sculptures organiques.
